Our History

Life Fellowship began as a small prayer group in 1983, comprising of four or five believers who used to meet every week for prayer at different houses in (Abbassiya) Jeleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Kuwait. Gradually, more members flocked to the worship meetings. Ministering Word of God became an integral part of these sessions.

Up to 1990, Bro.K.C.Mathews (Tittychayan) was leading the group and the Word of God was ministered by Bro. Samuel Koruth during the weekly meetings. After the invasion of Kuwait, Br. John Mathew took charge as the leader of the fellowship since Bro.K.C.Mathews was called to his eternal rest. In course of time, many new members joined the group and in order to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers, the venue of the meetings was shifted from houses to a hall (basement) located close to the classic typing center in abbassiya, Kuwait.

In 1997, the Fellowship got a place to worship at the National Evangelical church of Kuwait (NECK) under the wings of the Kuwait Town Malayalee Christian Congregation (KTMCC). The gathering was named as LIFE Fellowship which is the abbreviation of “Living In Faith Everyday”. Bro. John Mathew was ordained as Pastor in 2004 and Life Fellowship continues to grow as an independent, interdenominational Church in Kuwait. The Fellowship brings together people from all walks of life that have a passion to love and serve God.
